Grand Forks community works together to combat sexual assault
Grand Forks Air Force Base and Grand Forks County work closely together to put an end to sexual assault before it can take place with the help of the Community Violence Intervention Center (CVIC) in Grand Forks, North Dakota. CVIC organized a coordinated community response group called the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) in 2009. SART is comprised of members from the base and the community who ordinarily respond to sexual assault cases and allows those members a venue for open communication and better understanding of each other’s role in the response mechanism.
