BAYAMONCITO, Puerto Rico -- Washington Air National Guardsman Master Sgt. Richard Dessert provides satellite phone capability to Roberto Diaz to call his son in the continental United States to let him know that he is alive and well Oct. 8, 2017. Diaz was unable to communicate with his son due to the infrastructure devastation on the island. Through a friend of a friend, Dessert was asked to try and find Diaz. Dessert spent the better part of a day driving almost impassable roads and talking with Bayamoncito residents to try and locate him. (Courtesy photo by Richard Dessert)
