The Western Air Defense Sector hosted a group of Vietnam aviators on May 20. The Angry Skippers Association is a group of Vietnam veterans who served with Delta Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). They include pilots, crew chiefs and maintainers who come together annually for a reunion. During their visit, the group toured the WADS power plant and operations floor and learned how the building has continually guarded America’s skies 24/7 since 1960. JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. -- -- The Western Air Defense Sector hosted a group of Vietnam aviators on May 20. The Angry Skippers Association is a group of Vietnam veterans who served with Delta Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile).
