The Department of Emergency Medicine partnered with Operations to conduct a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive materials training for over 130 staff members. The thorough training included indications of exposure, equipment familiarization, patient decontamination procedures for hazardous material exposure and mass casualty events, as well as relevant CBRNE threats in our area of operation. This training ensures compliance with Madigan and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and plans as well as provides improved readiness to handle any exposure events efficiently while limiting exposure to staff during such events. The CBRNE team has a multidisciplinary membership consisting of military and civilians possessing a multitude of skills sets. The members are: Capt. Olivia Wood (OIC), Sgt. Meven Dacono (NCOIC), Spc. Jonathon Kang, Spc. Anthony Ellery, Spc. Megan Souza, Stephanie Taylor, Cathy Hussung and Holly Parker.
