Scale versions of those aircraft will fly over the museum, regaling spectators with daring aerobatics. RC pilots will entertain audiences as they perform skillful maneuvers with jets, warbirds and helicopters from all eras of aviation history.

During the ejection, Day's right arm was broken in three places, along with other injuries. His crewman was quickly picked up by a rescue helicopter, but Day was captured by local militia, beaten and tortured. A veteran of three wars and the first commander of the Misty FACs, Col. Have a Happy Thanksgiving from the Madigan Army Medical Center Command Team! Please read the message below from Madigan commander Col. Thomas Bundt and Command Sgt. Maj. Victor Laragione: Happy Thanksgiving! Recognizing Thanksgiving is a tradition that has provided affirmation and unity in times of challenge throughout our nation’s history. General Washington declared days of thanks to celebrate victories on the battlefield during the Revolutionary War; and President Lincoln made Thanksgiving an official holiday at the height of the Civil War to focus the union on the many good things we share. As another year of problem sets to solve and successes big and small comes to a close, let’s take a moment to show our gratitude for the people around us who make the challenges easier and the victories more worthwhile. That’s family, friends and colleagues here at Team Madigan; it’s the patients we have the honor to care for too. At this special time of the year, take the opportunity to recognize the good fortune we share. Thank you to our patients for trusting us with your care and for all that you and your family sacrifice to secure our nation’s freedoms. Team Madigan, whether you will be home with family or here with your Madigan family caring for our great patients this holiday, please know you are a valued member of our team, and we wish you and your loved ones a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday. #CareWithCompassion #HappyThanksgiving Military Health Regional Health Command-Pacific Puget Sound Military Health System Madigan Army Medical Center Family Readiness Group Task Force Phoenix- JBLM WTB Madigan-Puyallup Community Medical Home Madigan Labor And Delivery JBLM CARES Army Wellness Center at JBLM

UPDATE on Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Madigan Army Medical Center phone lines: As a today, November 27, the phone lines across the base are still down. The JBLM phone network team working hard to restore the JBLM and Madigan phones to working order. We have not been given an estimated date of when that will happen. 911 lines are still operational. The Military Police alternate number is 253 732-6191. We apologize for the continued inconvenience. If you did get through to a clinic in the last few days and left a voicemail, part of the phone outage prevents Madigan staff from listening and responding to voice messages. Patients can message their provider care team using MHS GENESIS secure messaging inside the patient portal. Also, if patients need to talk to a clinician, don’t forget you can do so by using the Nurse Advise Line at (800) TRICARE (874-2273), Option 1. TRICARE Nurse Advice line is avaliable 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Nurse Advice Line will connect you with a team of registered nurses around the clock for advice about your immediate health care needs—this includes pediatric advice. We are hoping phone service on JBLM and at Madigan will be restored soon. Thank you for your patience. #CareWithCompassion
An important update from TRICARE about #OpenSeason19:
I-5 Traffic Alert: There is a collision on I-5 Southbound at Pendleton Ave. milepost 120 blocking all lanes. A single lane is passing on shoulder until further notice. Visit for more information. Be drive carefully. #I5TrafficAlert
We apologize for the continued phone outage at Madigan. Unfortunately Madigan is part of the phone network on JBLM . The phone system network folks are working to fix the situation but as of today, Monday, November 25, 2019 we have no estimate of when phone service will be restored. If you did get through to a clinic in the last few days and left a voicemail, part of the phone outage prevents Madigan staff from listening and responding to voice messages. Again we are very sorry for the inconvenience. In the meantime patients can directly talk to their provider care team using MHS GENESIS secure messaging inside the patient portal. Also, if patients need to talk to a clinician, don’t forget you can do so by using the Nurse Advise Line at (800) TRICARE (874-2273), Option 1. TRICARE’s Nurse Advice line is there to help 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Nurse Advice Line will connect you with a team of registered nurses around the clock for advice about your immediate health care needs—this includes pediatric advice. We are hoping phone service on JBLM and at Madigan will be restored soon. Thank you for your patience.

“I was very grateful I was given the opportunity to support Naval Hospital Bremerton. I was fortunate to be chosen in part because NHB and Madigan Army Medical Center share a common charting system, MHS GENESIS,” shared 1st Lt. Lauren Odegaard, a nurse assigned to Madigan. Both military treatment facilities (MTF) deployed the Department of Defense’s new electronic health record MHS GENESIS in 2017. MHS GENESIS is a single integrated electronic health record for service members, veterans and their families that integrates inpatient and outpatient, medical, and dental information across the continuum of care, from point of injury – whether ship, shore, submarine, and squadron - to the MTF or clinic. The Department of Emergency Medicine partnered with Operations to conduct a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive materials training for over 130 staff members. The thorough training included indications of exposure, equipment familiarization, patient decontamination procedures for hazardous material exposure and mass casualty events, as well as relevant CBRNE threats in our area of operation. This training ensures compliance with Madigan and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and plans as well as provides improved readiness to handle any exposure events efficiently while limiting exposure to staff during such events. The CBRNE team has a multidisciplinary membership consisting of military and civilians possessing a multitude of skills sets. The members are: Capt. Olivia Wood (OIC), Sgt. Meven Dacono (NCOIC), Spc.
