AMC commander meets Western Air Defense Sector leadership
Western Air Defense Sector senior leadership welcomes Gen. Carlton D. Everhart II, Air Mobility Command commander, during his visit to Joint Base Lewis-McChord April 6. Everhart received a tour and mission briefing showcasing WADS ability to guard America’s skies 24/7 through the use of over 200 dedicated and shared radar devices. WADS is responsible for maintaining North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) air sovereignty and aerospace control over 73 percent of the western United States.
