The Western Air Defense Sector wins the second annual USO Northwest All American Oh-Pin bowling tournament on May 24. WADS members give 31 units of blood to ASBBC

First time blood donor, Staff Sgt. Pogisa Faumuina, 225th Air Defense Group, Western Air Defense Sector, is pleased that the donation process is smooth and painless. Faumuina’s unit held a blood drive April 30 as part of the Washington Air National Guard regularly scheduled drill weekend. All blood donated through the Armed Services Blood Bank Center Pacific Northwest will arrive within a week in order to support service members deployed overseas. Layton is a RF Transmission Systems apprentice who recently graduated from technical school at Keesler AFB as a distinguish graduate. She was awarded the "Top Graduate" in IT fundamentals with a 99% test average and recently received her Space Systems Technology Community College of the Air Force degree.

A top performer at the Western Air Defense Sector had the opportunity to meet the Air Mobility Command’s senior leaders during a visit to Joint Base Lewis-McChord April 6. Gen. Carlton D. Everhart II, left, Air Mobility Command commander, presented Staff Sgt.
